'Firebreather' was an idea for something harder that never really fleshed out. It was a song that was about my old band disintegrating creatively, but this song was so goddamn negative that I couldn't pursue adding to it. However, you do get to hear me do a pretty badass scream towards the end.
lyrics
Faking fortunes and dreaming empty dreams
Painting pictures far prettier than it seems
Reality down underneath our fidgeting A.D.D.
Wasting wishes and living empty lives
Dead to routine and slaves to time
Ticking down the clock til it says die
I don't know what I'd do
Where I'd go, what you've been through
I've been trying to get even
And finding it is so damn hard to do
And in my eyes now
Maybe this is over
Maybe time is broken and we're through
Trouble aiming too high at destiny
Fall is falling too far for eyes to see
That the falling out was so easy
Living a life asleep
Take the weapon of choice and set your sights
Take the pills and slowly burn your life
Take a second to stop and wonder why
Because I don't know
What I'll do
Where I'll go
What you'll go through
I've been trying to get even
And finding it is so damn hard to do
And in my eyes now
Maybe this is over
Maybe time is broken and we're through
