This was a very rudimentary demo when I was high on New Found Glory. The song's idea was so simple that I never got past this loose basis of the vocals. One of my first endeavors into using a repeated acoustic drum loop, kind of gets annoying, lol.
lyrics
Kiss me goodbye down underneath
Our hideaway down by the creek
Where we were kids we didn't know
Just how we'd be or where we'd go
It took so long for me to say it
I never thought I'd see the day
Where I could hold you any tighter
And see you fall so far down
I will wear my heart on my sleeve
I'll give you everything you ever need
Just to spend one more day
There with you before you fell away
And I will wear my heart on my sleeve
I'll give you whatever you need and
I will wear my heart on my sleeve
Just to spend one more day with you
