The final version of "hold it at an angle" I used on the Singing Through a Robot album went through a variety of phases before I settled on the heavier version. This one was my original idea (which explains the brevity).
lyrics
This picture is fading
And I'm nowhere near relating now
To what you're going through tonight
Your body is shaking
This heart is nowhere near worth breaking
And malice roots run deep into your mind
If it's not broken you'll break it
It's always unspoken so just say it
So please take out your camera
Hold it at an angle
Let me see your face, love
Tell me this is real
I don't want your alibies, it's setting me on fire
